Himilayas training - Peak District - 30th - 31st March

A couple of days walking in The Peak District to get some walking in the legs.

Castleton Weekend

Angletarn - Lake District - 10th Dec - Winja Walk

 

Use em or lose em. A trip to The Lake District to use up a couple of days unused holidays. First stop Hartsop Village. It was cold but hey, who cares. 

 

 

After leaving Hartsop and heading toward Ullswater the path starts to rise toward Boredale Hause. Looking back toward Brotherswater.

Carneddau Hike and Camp

The expected good weather provided an opportunity to get a long overdue, one and a half day backpack around the Southern Carneddau region, Wales.  The walk from Capel Curig to Llyn Ogwen was a leisurely 3 mile trek. I just hoped the mist would clear.

Crossing this bridge over the Afon Denau I left the Glyderau and entered the Carneddau.

With the expected good weather I was pleased to stay away from Snowdon which I would be sure to be teaming with people.
